Craig Woodman's early strike was enough to secure Wycombe their second win in three games despite a spirited effort from Lincoln, who are still yet to get a point.
Wanderers dominated the opening stages of the match and were in front after 12 minutes when Woodman's attempted cross from the left looped over stranded goalkeeper Rob Burch.
The Imps responded well to going behind though and 10 minutes later created a chance to equalise but Lee Frecklington lifted his shot over the crossbar.
Shortly after Scott McGleish laid the ball into the path of John Mousinho but his powerful long-range effort was tipped over by Burch to keep the lead at 1-0.
Wanderers nearly got a second on the hour when McGleish got his head to Tommy Doherty's cross but Burch saved superbly down low to his right.
The Chairboys should have had a second six minutes before the end but McGleish hit the bar from close range after he was found by Nathan Ashton.
