Ravenhill in the reckoning

Bradford City's Ricky Ravenhill hopes to be fit in time for Friday's home game with Southend.

The midfielder, 32, sustained a shin injury in the Bantams' recent home win against Wycombe and was struggling to be included in boss Phil Parkinson's plans for last weekend's postponed fixture against Bristol Rovers. "Maybe Saturday might have come around a bit too soon for me with the leg, so it was nice to have that little bit of an extra break," Ravenhill told the club's official website. "The leg's still a bit sore, but we have still a few days to go until Friday's match and I've trained Monday and Tuesday no problems with it. "Fingers crossed, there's no reason why I shouldn't be fine." Ravenhill, a summer signing from Notts County, has won back his place in Parkinson's starting line-up in recent weeks after being an unused substitute in the Capital One Cup final at Wembley.
