Lokomotiv Moscow have confirmed the signing of Roman Pavlyuchenko from Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Spurs striker has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal

Lokomotiv Moscow have confirmed the signing of Roman Pavlyuchenko from Tottenham Hotspur. Pavlyuchenko on Friday put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal after the two clubs reached an agreement for the 30-year-old on transfer deadline day. Although the transfer fee has not been disclosed by either club, it is understood that Lokomotiv have paid £8million for the striker's services. "Russia striker Roman Pavlyuchenko has signed a contract with the Lokomotiv," read a statement on Lokomotiv's official website. "The agreement with the striker is for three-and-a-half years." The Russian had appeared on the verge of leaving Spurs for well over a year and finally was granted a way out of White Hart Lane after manager Harry Redknapp brought in Louis Saha from Everton earlier on deadline day. Pavlyuchenko joined Spurs from Spartak Moscow in August 2008 and went on to score 42 goals in 113 appearances. He has also had spells at Dynamo Stavropol and Rotor Volgograd, and has scored 20 goals in 45 appearances for Russia.
