Dutch side on brink of signing young keeper

De Graafschap are closing in on signing young goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik from Czech side Viktoria Zivkov. The Eredivisie club have announced on their official website that the 22-year-old will complete a transfer depending on the results of his medical. Vaclik represented the Czech Republic at the Under-21 European Championship in Denmark last month and was voted by Uefa as one of the three top keepers at the tournament alongside David de Gea and Yann Sommer. He has reportedly attracted interest from several clubs this summer and De Graafschap technical director Leen Looyen is delighted to have won the race for his signature. He said: "Tomas is a big talent who deliberately chose De Graafschap because he expects the chance to play will be bigger than at other clubs. "There was quite a lot interest for him."
