Young Czech linked with West Brom switch

Czech goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik has revealed he is keen on a move to the Premier League amid speculation linking him with West Brom. The 22-year-old's agent, David Nehoda, says Vaclik has attracted "three specific suitors", with the Baggies thought to be among them. The Viktoria Zizkov keeper, who has also been linked with clubs in France, Italy and Holland, spent time on trial at The Hawthorns last autumn and admits the English top flight appeals to him. But Vaclik, who helped his side to promotion to the Czech top division last season, says it might be more realistic for him to start somewhere where he has a chance of becoming a first-choice keeper.

Tempted

"I'm most tempted by the Premier League," he told Denik Sport. "On the other hand, I know that only the top goalkeepers are playing there. "So it might be better for me to start at some small club from, for instance, Holland or France. "The aspect I'm weighing up is whether I would be playing or not. "It is not that I would like to go somewhere with the team promising me I'll be a regular. Nobody can promise you that. "I just want to feel some chance of becoming a first-choice goalkeeper." Despite speculation linking the Czech Republic Under 21 international with a move away from Viktoria Zizkov, the club's director, Jiri Ryva, is optimistic of him staying for another year.
No offer
"A lot of it has been flying around him but there has been no specific offer on the table yet," he said. "It would not help him if he was to go to a club where he would be only second or third choice goalkeeper. "I still give it more likelihood that Tomas will stay with Zizkov for one more season."
