Hatters continue survival push

Luton moved to minus one point at the foot of League Two and after a 3-2 win over Lincoln.

Harford's men extend unbeaten run to seven matches

Luton moved to minus one point at the foot of League Two and extended their unbeaten run to seven matches after a deserved 3-2 victory over Lincoln. Mick Harford's Hatters took the lead in fine style in the 31st minute when Chris Martin powered home a diving header from 15 yards from Michael Spillane's inch-perfect right-wing cross. Two minutes later the lead was doubled when Martin scored his second - and his sixth of the season - with a low strike into the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area from Tom Craddock's pass. Lincoln pulled a goal back seven minutes before half-time when N'Guessan crossed from the left for John-Lewis to find the net from eight yards at the second attempt. Man-of-the-match Ian Roper made it 3-1 five minutes after the break, heading home Spillane's left-wing cross from close range for his third of the campaign. Janos Kovacs saw his low drive hit the inside of a post before substitute Adrian Patulea did find the net in the 90th minute with a left-footed finish from an acute angle, but Luton survived five minutes of injury time to collect the much-needed win.
