Frecklington's opener not enough for Lincoln
Craig Stanley cancelled out Lee Frecklington's opener for Lincoln as Morecambe claimed a 1-1 draw at Sincil Bank.
The Imps took the lead after 20 minutes when Frecklington was afforded too much time and space by the Morecambe defence before firing past goalkeeper Barry Roche from 18 yards.
But the visitors found a way back into the game after Lincoln defender Frank Sinclair limped off with a knee injury.
Jim Bentley went close for the Shrimps before they drew level in first half stoppage time in spectacular fashion.
Stanley fired a hopeful 50-yard free-kick into the Lincoln area and the ball passed though a crowd of players before sneaking past goalkeeper Robert Burch.
Bentley kept out Adrian Patulea's goal-bound effort before Dave Artell headed straight at Burch late on with the goal at his mercy.
