Czechs make winning start to Euro campaign
Czech Republic got their European Under-21 Championship campaign off to a winning start with a 2-1 victory over Ukraine in Group B.
Borek Dockal was the hero for the Czechs with both goals before Maksim Beliy set up a dramatic finale with a goal back for Ukraine late on.
After a goalless first half Czech captain Dockal broke the deadlock four minutes into the second half with a superb left-footed finish high into the net.
Dockal doubled the lead on 56 minutes when he found the bottom corner with a clinical finish.
Ukraine gave themselves hope three minutes from time when Artem Kravets fed fellow substitute Beliy and he fired high into the net.
Ukraine poured forward in search of an equaliser, but the Czechs held on to take all three points.
