Coventry City picked up their first win in 23 years at St Andrews after a resilient performance against Birmingham.
After having a goal disallowed, Birmingham were left incredibly frustrated as Chris Coleman's side managed to hold off a late surge to earn their second away win of the season.
Alex McLeish seemed furious as Birmingham fell to their second defeat in a week in controversial fashion.
Chance
Birmingham's first real chance came after ten minutes of play when an initial long ball from Hunt on the right almost found Kevin Phillips but was forced clear.
The resulting corner whipped in to Phillips who could not turn quickly enough to gain control as Keiren Westwood eventually cleared.
Minutes later Coventry were on the attack - Clinton Morrison against his former club smashed the ball hard from the edge of the six-yard box but rattled the crossbar - a lucky escape for Birmingham who were defending way too deep.
That seemed to be the case throughout most of the first half, although there were few real chances for either side Coventry did seem to have the upper hand.
Appeal
Penalty appeals were made after just over half-an-hour of play as Morrison appeared to be held back by Liam Ridgewell.
The Sky Blues defender looked to be pulling at Morrison's shirt but the referee waved play on much to the fury of City manager Chris Coleman.
As the first-half petered out goalless, league status would appear deceptive. Although Birmingham had had the most attempts on goal it was Coventry who looked the much better side.
The Sky Blues started the second half much as they had the first. Pressing Birmingham from the off and looking the more confident side.
Break
And it did not take long for them to get their break as a decent corner just minutes through the second half found Morrison unmarked.
The former Birmingham front man did not need to budge as he polished off a perfect header to give Coventry a deserved lead.
The home side started to assert pressure after the opening goal and almost pulled level on 70 minutes.
Coventry's defence appeared to back-off James McFadden who steadied himself and struck a rocket ball on target but Westwood cleared it well.
The Sky Blues had the perfect opportunity to double their lead when Jay Tabb found himself in acres of space but miss hit the ball sending it way over the crossbar.
Pressing
The visitors then managed to survive a goal-mouth scramble as Birmingham kept on pushing and Radhi Jaidi's header was miraculously cleared by Westwood.
Birmingham then had a goal disallowed in the final minutes as Franck Queudrue's tap was deemed not over the line.
The home side certainly dominated the second half but could not break down Coventry's defence as the Sky Blues ended a 23-year wait for a win at St Andrews.
