Sergio Perez is aiming to make up for the disappointment of the drive-through penalty which compromised his Belgian GP with a return to the points at Monza next week, as McLaren look for a strong result to mark their 50th anniversary.

Although unlikely to add to their haul of ten Italian GP victories, Monza 2013 is still set to be a memorable one for McLaren given they are using the weekend to mark their first half century in existence since the formation of Bruce McLaren Motor Racing Ltd in September 1963. Jenson Button, a three-times runner-up at Monza, said: "It's really appropriate that McLaren will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in the paddock over the Monza weekend. "Both names are synonymous with motorsport history - you couldn't imagine Formula 1 without them - so I'll be hoping for a strong result to show the strength and depth that we have as a team."
